Arbor's Shaping Ethos
Grip Tech + Parabolic Profiling
The system shaping philosophy underpins the design of every snowboard in our line. It allows us to create advanced true-rocker and true-camber designs. As a result we preserve all of the inherent riding benefits of these proven platforms by avoiding hybridization. Two distinct technologies make this possible:

Parabolic Profiling

We use a unique shaping technique that replaces the single radius arc found in traditional camber or rocker with a more advanced parabolic profile. The design blends five separate radii together to create a parabolic arc which gradually reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail. In our System Rocker shapes the design lowers the leading edge to improve edge hold. In our System Camber shapes the design makes the leading edge less aggressive for smoother performance. The blended five radii design also drastically improves our ability to tune each shape in our line for ability level, target terrain and riding style.

System Camber
Arbor System Parabolic Profiling

Our System Camber shapes are for riders who want:

  • A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance and more pop for carving and ollies
  • Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow and during turns, spins and landings
Complete the system with Arbor System X Bindings

The System X Baseplate

FOUND ON ALL ARBOR BINDINGS
  • A proprietary design that transfers rider input out to four heel-to-toe convergence zones, improving edge controls and response time.
  • A concave design allows a board to flex more seamlessly by reducing flat spots for improved edge performance.
  • When paired with an Arbor Snowboard, the System X design improves the activation of Arbor's Grip Tech contact points.
  • This unique binding / board interaction provides maximum performance at speed, in steeps, amd through any turn, carve or spin.

Fender Tech

The edge control created by Arbor's System platform allows us to add Fenders that slightly lift a board's leading edge off the snow. This dramatically improves turning, spins, float and tracking on cambered snowboards.

Unlike "early rise" or "rockered" nose/tail transition zone, Arbor's Fenders create smoother performance without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop or performance that comes from full-length camber. Today, we use Fenders on the majority of our System Camber designs.

Doesn't feel like quality

"I've ridden this board only a handful of days and I am very impressed with the way it feels on the snow but I am already seeing a lot of small scratches in the base and on the rails without hitting anything. I am worried that this board is simply made from inferior materials than boards I have had in the past. Hopefully I can get a couple seasons out of it which feels horrible to say about a board of this price."

Shred the gnar

"Dude, let me tell you about the 162cm Bryan Iguchi Pro Camber Snowboard! As a big guy weighing in at 235lbs, finding a board that can handle my weight while still shredding through the powder has been a major challenge. But this board, man, it's a game-changer! I'm talking super floaty on powder, like you're carving through the ocean on your surfboard. The camber profile of this board allows you to effortlessly ride through the deepest powder without even sinking. And when it comes to groomers, it's fast like a surfer catching a wave at Pipeline. The medium flex of this board gives you the perfect balance of support and control to carve hard and make quick turns."

Send It with this Board

"I was looking for a new board for years. Demoing new boards were only a slight improvement form my old Palmer (yes I'm dating myself). I found a snowboard shop that was passionate on setting up riders base on their needs instead of making a sale. Shout out to Gallatin Alpine Sports in Big Sky. This Board straight up sends it! I was looking for an all MTN/ Freeride board to just tear up the resort and crush fresh Pow, and this board delivered. This board also saves you on some sketchy terrain and the edge holds! I was so impressed I will be coming back to Arbor for all my family's boarding needs."

Iguchi Pro 156

"I only weigh like 145 so i went with the 156 cm. This board is fucking dope! Charges through crud and moguls with ease, holds an edge on the steepest of steeps, super good pop for ollies and it even rides switch well. Anytime i ride, I am trying to go as fast as i can, so this board is perfect for a rider like me."

Q&A

I wear size 13 shoes and have always had to ride a board designated as ‘wide’ in order to not have my feet hanging off of the edge. At 6’2”, 185 lbs I could make most sizes work. Any advice for foot size with this board?
Hi there, We also recommend any boot size 12 or larger opt for a Wide model board to avoid any toe drag!
